Finding Christ in the World is a twelve-week prayer experience framed by the Spiritual Exercises. It helps faithcommunities—bible study and prayer groups, parish and school colleagues, the CLC—but can as well be prayedthrough alone by a mature disciple. This retreat, serious but far from dull, invites a conversion of heart that shifts a tight focus on self to a graced focus on God-with-us. As a mature follower of Jesus Christ, you are invited to live believing that God is continually, moment by moment, creating each person out of chaos—the chaos of your own life and the chaos of our times. You are helped really to own the graces of communion with the Church: God's personal love, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everla sting. You are practising the communion of the saints.

The book is for personal use. Its design includes point s and questions for reflection and leaves plenty of space to write and respond. You will pray lectio divina with a separate scripture passage daily. And you will find notes developing how to pray by consider ing Jesus' life and the truths He revealed. You will pick up practices that help keep up daily prayer. Guidelines help you find your way of Ignatian praying, and notes regularly give you a sense of where your praycr is going each day. You will ask and you will receive a particular grace, e.g., to know Jesus better, love Him more, and follow Him more closely. An appendix is added for a group guide.
